During the night of 6th/7th  September 2016, Kalamata suffered unprecedented and devastating floods. A number of people lost their lives and the deluge left a trail of destruction with cars piled up in the streets, hundred of animals drowned and crops decimated. Many homes and businesses were damaged by water and thick mud. Those of us at the Lichfield reunion weekend were greatly shocked and saddened by this news. We wanted to help and decided to make a contribution by way of a Disaster fund. We are pleased to report that our members have been very generous and we recently made our donation to help the people of Kalamata.
