| NOTES
While at Kalamata Ron Guest was bludgeoned by an Australian WO whom he later testified against at a War Crimes tribunal. He also saw a Greek priest shot – both of these for aiding the Germans. Brigadier Parrington gave Guest his own tin hat and proceeded to wear his red-braided Staff cap thereafter.
