2/9/22 British. Born Jaffa Palestine. Lived in Palestine & Egypt. 1935: Sherborne School. 9/39 in Cairo when war broke out. 21/10/40 Enlisted in Black Watch once he was 18. OTC then commissioned 2nd Lieut in West Yorks. 2/3/41. Served in Eritrea & Libya campaigns. 5/6/42 Wounded at Battle of the Cauldron. 2/9/42 Lieutenant. 4/11/42 Posted to Combined Intelligence Centre, Iraq after convalescence in Durban. PAIForce.
