| NOTES
Born Oxford 17 May 1913 and trained as a motor mechanic. Enlisted in the RASC Regular Army 24 June 1931 as a driver. In Egypt from January 1934 until January 1939 Lance Corporal January 1935 and private chauffeur for GOC in Egypt until March 1938 Returned to England and with Recruits Training Btn RASC CQMS from 10 December 1939 and returned to Egypt 2 March 1941 sailed on SS Lurmahal to Piraeus On Release from POW and discharge from the Army he worked as an Insurance Salesman for Prudential Assurance until Retirement.
